Mr. K. Satomi, President, Xenesys Inc., Tokyo, whose main line of business is the power generation plant and water supply based on OTEC technology, told us today that he would more than double within 2004 the production capacity of plate type heat exchanger, one of the vital components in the said power plant. The first installation of his plate type heat exchanger is scheduled for OTEC power plants planned by Saga University and Republic of Palau respectively. It is to note with much interest that lately the OTEC power generation is attracting keen interest as a new form of clean energy from various sources, since it spills no substances to cause global warming. The plan to increase production capacity is aimed to meet ever-increasing demand for the OTEC power system.
