Having floating a plan to introduce OTEC power generation, two high ranking officials of Saudi Arabia visited Saga University,
Japan on March 18. The country has long been suffering from chronic water shortage and has an attention to the new technology producing fresh
water in the process of generating electricity. The government takes into consideration of introducing three industrial zones along the
Persian Gulf and the Red Sea coast. The Saudi government is now requesting the detailed specifications for the project to a company which
acquires exclusive concessions of patents owned by Saga University.
