[Brief translation]
"Middle East is the first place recognized our technology" said Mr. Kiminao SATOMI, President of Xenesys Inc. The company engages in developing power generation and seawater desalination systems. Xenesys’s center and plant in Imari-shi, Saga Prefecture in Japan, has a name plate in Arabic to express their honor toward the Middle East.
Xenesys utilizes temperature differential in the ocean to produce electricity. The cycle for the power generation is that; ammonia vapor warmed by the surface seawater turns turbines to generate electricity and then the vapor is condensed by cold deep seawater pumped up from the depth of 800 to 1,000m to be reused. This technology does not use fossil fuel so that no CO2 emitted.
Ongoing business talks in Kuwait and Qatar have been in progress, and according to Mr. Satomi, there would be approaches from major US plant companies concerning technical cooperation.
